Warranty Information
We stand behind our workmanship—and want your experience to be worry-free. This page summarizes our standard warranty in clear language. If anything here differs from your signed agreement, the signed agreement prevails.
Warranty Snapshot
Coverage: Workmanship and conformance to the contract documents
Term: 1 year from the date of completion
Materials: Furnished new and of good quality as specified; material defects are covered by manufacturer warranties
Notice: Owner provides written notice promptly after discovery
What’s Covered
Workmanship: Our work will be free from defects in workmanship not inherent in specified materials or methods.
Conformance: Our work will conform to the contract documents.
Materials supplied: We provide new, good-quality materials as specified. (Ongoing defects in materials are handled by manufacturers under their own warranties.)
Unapproved substitutions: Items not properly approved may be deemed defective and addressed.
What’s Not Covered (Exclusions)
- Damage or defects caused by abuse, modifications not performed by Good Life Construction, improper or insufficient maintenance, or improper operation.
- Normal wear and tear under normal use.
Upon request, we can provide evidence of the kind and quality of materials and equipment furnished.
Warranty Term & Remedy
- For one (1) year after completion, if any portion of the work is not in accordance with the contract documents, we will correct it promptly after receiving written notice from the Owner—unless the Owner previously accepted that condition in writing.
- The Owner must provide written notice promptly after discovery of the condition.
Manufacturer Warranties (Materials)
At closeout, you will receive copies of manufacturers’ warranties for materials and equipment we furnished. These warranties are separate from our workmanship warranty and follow each manufacturer’s terms and procedures.
Note: Manufacturer warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer using the documents provided. Good Life Construction is not a party to and does not administer manufacturer warranty claims.
How to Submit a Warranty Request (Workmanship Only)
Please send written notice within the one-year term, including:
- Name & project address
- Completion date (from your closeout documents)
- Issue description & location
- Photos/video (if available)
- Best contact info for scheduling
Send notice via: our website Contact form (preferred) or mail.
For urgent safety issues, also call (916) 884-6132 and still follow up with written notice.
What Happens Next
We review your notice and, if needed, schedule a site visit.
If covered under our workmanship warranty, we’ll perform corrective work promptly.
If the issue is a material defect, please use your manufacturer warranty documents to file directly with the manufacturer. We do not process manufacturer claims.
If not covered, we’ll explain why and can offer a separate proposal for non-warranty work.
